Choosing the Right UK Visa for Entrepreneurs and Business Owners Located Outside the UK
Choosing the Right UK Visa for Entrepreneurs and Business Owners Located Outside the UK
The UK is one of the business hotspots of the world and constantly attracts a large number of successful overseas companies and entrepreneurs. UK visa options available for entrepreneurs and businesses can be utilised for the purpose of relocating to the UK either temporarily or permanently. However, how do you choose the right visa for you or your company? Below are some viable options.
Which business visa option is best for you? Read on to find out more about the visas.
Innovator Visa
The Innovator Visa is intended to help experienced overseas entrepreneurs carry out their business ventures in the UK through an endorsement from approved bodies.
A noteworthy change is that the business venture will be assessed solely by experts in the endorsing body rather than the Home Office itself. This separates the endorsement process from the immigration process. However, obtaining an endorsement will not guarantee a visa if there are immigration issues with the applicant.
This visa is best used for experienced entrepreneurs who want to build a business presence in the UK and have an innovative business plan. This visa can lead to settlement. For more information about the Innovator Visa, please click here.
Start-up Visa
The Start-up Visa is similar to the Innovator Visa and will enable individuals to establish their business in the UK for the first time, provided that their business idea is innovative, viable and scalable.
You can apply for a Start-up Visa even if you do not have a university education. However, the Start-up Visa criteria will need to be supported and assessed by an endorsing body.
This visa is best used for entrepreneurs who are interested in setting up a business in the UK for the first time and whose business is not yet operational. For further information about the Start-up Visa, please click here.
